Tiffany Martin, 47, of Hagerstown, robbed three Franklin County banks between September and January, Chambersburg and McConnellsburg state police say.
A Maryland woman is awaiting extradition back to Franklin County to faces charges that she went on a bank-robbing spree stretching back to September.
Tiffany Martin, 47, of Hagerstown, is accused of robbing the Community State Bank on Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas Township, on Sept. 19; Community State Bank on North Main Street, Peters Township, on Nov. 1; and the F&M Trust Bank on Waterfall Road in Fulton Township, on Jan. 20, according to state police.
Police linked Martin to two vehicles that were used in the robberies, and from there, members of the Washington County, Maryland sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at her home. They found $15,000 of cash located inside a bag police say she used during the robbery. Sheriffs arrested Martin Feb. 2, and are holding her in the Washington County Detention Center and will be extradited to Pennsylvania, state police said.
