The Central Luzon cops are now ready, seven days before the national and local elections.
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police Regional Office 3 earlier conducted a “showdown inspection and logistical readiness test” of police equipment that will be utilized for security operations during the electoral process, according to Regional Director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.
Baccay explained that the conduct of the logistical test is meant to guarantee the readiness of police units to perform election duty as deputized agents of the Commission on Elections . Baccay said that enough policemen and policewomen will be deployed on polling precincts to ensure the safety of the voting public and election officials.The showdown inspection and logistical readiness test of police equipment was held simultaneously in all police regional offices and provincial and city police offices nationwide.
Meanwhile, since the absentee voting for government employees started, 2,053 Police Regional Office 3 personnel including those 106 assigned at the Regional Headquarters and 139 Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 personnel cast their votes from April 27 to 29, 2022 . The absentee voting allowed police personnel to exercise their right to suffrage at their respective offices earlier than the official election date on May 9.Some of the police absentee voters hailed from provinces as far as Apayao, Benguet, Samar and Lanao del Norte.
