Cebu Pacific Air made significant strides in its sustainability initiatives in 2022, focusing on reducing its carbon footprint and enhancing operational efficiency.

The program aims to transition to an all-New Engine Option fleet by 2028, reducing CO2 emissions per passenger between 17 percent and 29 percent. It successfully integrated sustainable aviation fuel into its operations, becoming the first low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia and the first in the Philippines to use SAF in its operations.

CEB aims to increase its sustainability efforts in 2023, including partnering with South Pole to determine greenhouse gas emissions and reduction strategies, discussing potential investments in carbon removal and offsetting with carbon project developers and credit providers, and transitioning to an all-electric, zero-emission ground support equipment fleet.
