Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama joins calls for justice on Degamo’s killing CDNDigital

“We condemn in the strongest possible terms the assassination and subsequent untimely death of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Ragay Degamo,” Rama wrote in a statement issued on Sunday, March 5, 2023. The mayor described the ruthless killing of Degamo, which occurred right outside the governor’s residence in Pamplona town last Saturday, March 4, as an ‘egregious display of violence.’
Police have already arrested five suspects, of which three happen to be former members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines .
