THE country's largest association of Catholic schools has welcomed reports that Vice President-elect Sarah Duterte-Carpio will be the Education secretary under the next administration.'If indeed she will be the one to run the department, we hope that she could address the education crisis we are facing,' said Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines Executive Director Alan Arellano in a radio interview on Thursday.President-elect Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.
'We are willing to be part of that process,' he said.And while Duterte-Carpio's push for mandatory military service for all Filipinos 18 years old and above was criticized, Arellano said the CEAP was ready to assist in the formulation of policies in case the Reserve Officers' Training Corps is implemented.
