A 30-year-old Carthage man died Monday when he was shot during a road rage incident on I-70 near Post Road. According to Indiana State Police, a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
INDIANAPOLIS — On Monday, Indiana State Police troopers investigated a shooting on I-70 eastbound near Post Road in Indianapolis.The person, identified by ISP as 30-year-old Eli Hickerson of Carthage, Indiana, was shot while riding as a passenger in a vehicle traveling on I-70. They were shot by a person in a box truck.
A preliminary investigation by state police detectives determined Hickerson was a passenger in a red Ford Focus that was traveling eastbound on I-70 near Post Road. Shots were allegedly fired by the driver of a white box truck at the Ford Focus, striking Hickerson at least one time.At about 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, detectives arrested a 22-year-old Indianapolis man.
