"okurrr" is a "commonplace term, message, or expression widely used by a variety of sources that merely conveys an ordinary, familiar, well-recognized concept or sentiment."
So while "okurrr" has definitely become a large part of Cardi's brand, and although she's often attached to usage of the word, it is simply too commonly used and recognized for the trademark to be given exclusively to her. The, "Terms and expressions that merely convey an informational message are not registrable....Determining whether the term or expression functions as a trademark or service mark depends on how it would be perceived by the relevant public.
You win some, you lose some, Cardi! But maybe "Eeeeoooowwww" is offbeat enough to land the trademark? Just a thought!
