SOFÍA (AP) — El presidente búlgaro Rumen Radev eligió el lunes al grupo más grande del Parlamento, la coalición de centroderecha GERB-UDF, para formar un nuevo gobierno.
SOFÍA — El presidente búlgaro Rumen Radev eligió el lunes al grupo más grande del Parlamento, la coalición de centroderecha GERB-UDF, para formar un nuevo gobierno. Radev entregó el mandato a Maria Gabriel, la primera ministra designada en virtud de un acuerdo de poder compartido entre los dos principales partidos políticos, según el cual cada uno ocupará el cargo más alto durante nueve meses seguidos.
Los dos partidos acordaron compartir el poder después de las elecciones del año pasado en un intento por poner fin a una crisis política de dos años y medio, restaurar la estabilidad y estimular el desarrollo económico en el país miembro más pobre de la Unión Europea. Al aceptar el mandato, Gabriel afirmó que lo hacía “con sentido de responsabilidad, ya que Bulgaria necesita estabilidad”.
