A statewide program to help Californians looking to buy their first home has seen extreme demand. While many San Diegans applied, only the lucky few were preapproved before the funding ran out.

“I was really excited about it. As a single mom I've been looking to get preapproved and into my house since 2018. And yet it just keeps getting delayed for one reason or another,” she said.said over the last two weeks he worked with 33 people interested in utilizing the program.
