California was hit with rain, floods, blizzards and colder-than-average temperatures as the remnants of a powerful winter storm swept across the state
Record rainfall closed many roads in the southern part of the state, while mountain areas got up to 66 inches of snow
A powerful winter storm continued to lash California with heavy rain and snow on Saturday, causing flooding, road closures and power outages. Some areas could see more than a foot of additional snow through Saturday night, the National Weather Service said.
