[+]Photo by Tom Brenner/Getty ImagesFollowing a conciliatory press conference Tuesday afternoon, Iowa Democratic party officials released partial results from the state’s caucus showing Pete Buttigieg leading the field, with Bernie Sanders close behind, though only 62% of the vote has been made public.

The caucuses descended into chaos Monday night after technical glitches in a new mobile app caused the results to be delayed, and party officials refused to give a timeline Tuesday afternoon for when the full results—and a clear winner—would be available. Buttigieg held 26.9% of the delegate count while Sanders had 25.1% as of Tuesday afternoon; Elizabeth Warren was currently in third place with 18.3% of the delegates, Joe Biden in fourth with 15.6% of the delegates and Amy Klobuchar has 12.6%.While Buttigieg leads in delegates, the early results show that Sanders was winning the popular vote followed by Buttigieg and Warren.
