The burglars cut the screen of a kitchen window to get inside the home after midnight Friday, investigators said.
Someone broke into a Dauphin County home overnight Friday, pepper-sprayed the resident and stole $20 in change from a jar, investigators said.
Pennsylvania State Police said the burglary and assault was reported around 12:40 a.m. Friday on the 3400 block of Fishing Creek Valley Road in Middle Paxton Township. The burglar cut a whole in the screen on a kitchen window to get inside, state police said. It’s unclear how many people were involved in the break-in.
A $140 Tracfone cell phone was also stolen, according to state police. Investigators said a laptop was damaged in the course of the burglary.
