CITY OF MALOLOS: The provincial government of Bulacan held the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial on Monday, May 6, to raise awareness and encourage support in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alex Castro led the campaign, which was conducted right after the flag-raising ceremony at The Pavilion, Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center.The activity was attended by the provincial head departments in front of a symbolic red ribbon as a show of support for HIV and AIDS patients who continue their fight against the disease.
Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro lead the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial along with provincial board members to raise awareness and encourage support in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The annual activity was held right after the flag-raising ceremony on May 6, 2024, at The Pavilion in Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center, City of Malolos.
Provincial Health Officer Annie Balingit delivered a message of solidarity from the Provincial Health Office — Public Health and presented the symbolic red ribbon before the thousands attending the Monday flag-raising ceremony.Balingit underscored Bulacan's dedication to providing accessible healthcare services, particularly through mobile health care services, and advocated for the rights of individuals living with and affected by HIV.
