Brush fire that charred more than 180 acres in Ramona 80 percent contained [Breaking]
By about 3 p.m., firefighters assisted by air tankers and water-dropping helicopters had halted the spread of the flames, Cal Fire Capt. Mike Cornette said.Although the fire spread quickly and prompted thousands of evacuation orders and warnings for nearby residents, no structures were burned.
One firefighter was treated in he field for a heat-related injury, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
