Last Sunday, I enjoyed a fabulous brunch at Schilo's, the oldest restaurant in San Antonio, established in 1917, with my husband. First, a word on the food and service: stellar. I have only praise for the delicious German comfort food, friendly service and old school saloon ambience, all a great value. But as we enjoyed our warm cinnamon roll, eggs and bacon, the cost of parking was on our minds. Could parking really cost $20 an hour? Yes, it really does.
She's been in preliminary talks with electric shuttle vehicle companies, which sounds like a great option in addition to VIA's Park and Ride for downtown events. John Jacks, director of the city of San Antonio's Center City Development and Operations department, which manages parking, said, 'Parking is often the first experience people have when they visit downtown, and the city of San Antonio recognizes our role in ensuring it is a positive experience.
