Good news for the James family.
LOS ANGELES – USC basketball incoming freshman Bronny James, the son of NBA star LeBron James, was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital Thursday after being treated for sudden cardiac arrest earlier this week.after collapsing during a basketball workout at the University of Southern California. He was hospitalized and said to be in stable condition as of Tuesday.On Thursday, Bronny was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after doctors said his treatment was successful.
“Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest,” Merije Chukumerije, MD, FACC and consulting cardiologist for Bronny James, said in. “He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.
“Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support.”
