After “The All-New Mickey Mouse Club” ended in 1995, the singer returned to her hometown of Kentwood, La., yearning for “normalcy.” But what Britney soon realized, she says, was that nothing about her family was “normal.” “For fun, starting when I was in eighth grade, my mom and I would make the two-hour drive from Kentwood to Biloxi, Mississippi, and while we were there, we would drink daiquiris. We called our cocktails ‘toddies,'” she writes in her book.
“I loved that I was able to drink with my mom every now and then,” she further says, but is also quick to note that their drinking wasn’t so bad — not when it was compared to her dad’s alleged drinking habits.Spears writes in her new book, “The Woman In Me,” “ would drink daiquiris.
