“There’s a lot to learn from, Valley View’s a heck of a team,” Bridgeland coach Jared Gillespie said. “A lot of our younger guys played really well today, that’s what these showcases are for, work out some of the kinks. …Valley View’s going to have a great season and we’re going to learn from today and move on.”
This is Valley View’s 13th season taking part in the showcase. The Tigers are one of three participants from around the state, along with Harlingen South and Nacogdoches.
