The Dolphins ruled out two players but still have a lot of question marks
The final injury for the Miami Dolphins ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs looked an awful lot like Week 8, down to two players ruled out and a whole bunch of others listed as questionable.
Jones' absence coincides with the return of starting safety Jevon Holland, who missed the New England game because of his own concussion but wasn't even on the injury report this week after getting out of the protocol. If Smythe can't play, it likely would mean a bigger work load for rookie free agent Julian Hill or maybe even fullback Alec Ingold.
Starting linebacker Willie Gay was listed as questionable after being limited in practice the past two days. Also listed as questionable was wide receiver Richie James, who is on IR because of a knee injury but was a full participant in practice all week.
