Former Brazilian President jairbolsonaro has agreed to speak at the annual CPAC in March, a major get for the Chairman mschlapp.
Bolsonaro, often dubbed the Donald Trump of South America, could lay out his plans to return to power in a campaign against President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who won in a runoff last fall.A friend of Trump’s, Bolsonaro has made claims similar to the former president about election irregularities. After he was defeated, he traveled to Mar-a-Lago to stay with Trump.
The Bolsonaro family is friendly with the Trumps and many American conservatives. He is expected to be in the U.S. often for unidentified medical treatments. With his attendance, Trump’s, and that of most GOP presidential candidates, notably Nikki Haley, the former United Nations ambassador, Schlapp’s event is already creating a big 2024 buzz in Washington.
