The former Alabama basketball All-American didn’t agree when a reporter asked about the “kind of struggling” former Alabama football All-American.
With both former Alabama All-Americans in Charlotte, Miller was asked on Tuesday during the Hornets’ media day about his contact with the “kind of struggling” quarterback – an assessment with which Miller disagreed.. “Struggling? No. It’s all learning. We’re both rookies. Just here as a sponge just soaking all the information we can to make us better in our career.”
Charlotte posted a 27-55 record last season, hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2016 and most recently won a postseason series in 2002. Miller led Alabama to the SEC regular-season and tournament championships and the No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament last season. The Tide won two games in the tourney before San Diego State upended Alabama on the Aztecs’ way to the national championship game.
Preparing for his fifth season with the Hornets, power forward P.J. Washington said Miller will make an impact.. “I feel like his game really translates well to the league, and I feel like he can pretty much do everything on the floor offensively and also defensively. He has good size, a good frame, he can shoot the ball, he can dribble, he can pass, so there’s not a lot of things he can’t do on the court.
