A parody trailer for A Star is Born replaces Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga for Muppets. The Muppets have been around since the mid-60s when they first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, but the story of A Star is Born is even older. The first movie was released in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March before getting remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason.
Despite following the same story as its predecessors, the newest A Star is Born was well-received upon release. At the 2019 Oscars, A Star is Born won Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures and was also nominated for seven other awards. By 2018, Cooper was already a well-known actor starring in films like The Hangover, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Sniper while also having been nominated for several Academy Awards.
The Muppets have made an impact on pop culture for decades, and that probably won't stop anytime soon. Disney has even occasionally released artwork of The Muppets parodying their own popular movies/TV shows like The Mandalorian and WandaVision.
