Wilyer Abreu is back on the Boston Red Sox's active roster after suffering a sprained ankle a few weeks ago, adding yet another young bat to Boston's lineup.
To make room for Abreu on the active roster, Boston optioned corner infielder and corner outfielder Bobby Dalbec to Triple-A Worcester.. He suffered a sprained right ankle in the dugout that afternoon, and he was placed on the injured list two days later.
Even after missing nearly three weeks of action, the soon-to-be 25-year-old remains one of the top contenders to win American League Rookie of the Year.
