Combs returned for her senior year determined to help her teammates — and herself — get back to state. Boerne defeated District 26-4A rival Davenport 1-0 in the Region IV championship Saturday in Corpus Christi. Sophomore Sophia Harper provided the game-winner with just over a minute remaining. Boerne has losses against O’Connor and Port Neches-Groves . The Greyhounds are riding a 17-match winning streak into Wednesday. Boerne has posted four shutouts and has outscored opponents 24-2 in five playoff matches.
