Boerne all-stars arrive in Williamsport for Little League World Series, prepare for Thursday's game
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT – The Boerne Little League all-stars had no idea just how many doors they opened with an unbeaten run through District 26 , Section 3, Texas West and Southwest Regional competition. Sure, it was clear that the Southwest Regional title meant a trip to the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport .
They then spent 2½ hours on the various ESPN sets recording some of the segments that air during pregames and at various times through the 12-day tournament. “They made it really fun for the kids with all the little skits they did,” Newson said. “They have no idea which parts of it they are going to use, but the kids had a blast, seeing all the cameras. Even some of the shyer kids that don’t talk a whole lot, looked like they were having run.
