Detectives, who said it was a domestic violence crime, took a 61-year-old Renton resident into custody in connection to the case.
Police said Hernandez left her home in the Renton Highlands on Feb. 26 to run errands. She never returned. Renton detectives were alerted to a Mexicali news article about an unidentified body found in a cemetery on the Tijuana Highway on Friday. Investigators on the missing persons case contacted Mexican authorities and provided enough information to identify Hernandez.
