6 Dove Has A Psychedelic Experience At The Convent Present Day Arguably the most unhinged part of Bodkin was when Dove was experiencing the effects of psychedelic mushrooms while she and Emmy were at the convent. Dove starts to have strange flashbacks which reveal more of her backstory as a troubled young girl at a different convent. Apparently, Mother Bernadette drugged Dove's tea while she and Emmy were meeting with her in her office, which inspired the bizarre mind-bending effects.
