Blood Bank of Alaska is in critical need for O-negative and O-positive blood
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - The Blood Bank of Alaska says it’s in critical need of both O-negative and O-positive blood types.
This comes at a time when there is a larger demand for blood across the state. “We also have a lot of pent up demand from what we can see in regards to folks going in for medical care before winter, taking advantage of those insurance deductibles,” Scanlon said. “So, I think that couples with the amount of traumas we have actually seen. That’s what’s creating the heavy usage right now
