BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Becomes 1st Female K-Pop Soloist To Make Top 40 Debut On UK Official Charts With “FLOWER”
’s Jisoo has made history on the UK Official Charts as the first Korean female soloist to make a Top 40 debut!
On April 7 local time, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts announced that Jisoo’s solo debut track “” had debuted at No. 38 on the UK Official Singles Chart for the week of April 7 to April 13! The UK Official Singles Chart ranks the most popular songs in the United Kingdom, while the UK Official Charts are often regarded as the U.K. equivalent to Billboard’s U.S. charts.
This makes Jisoo only the second Korean female soloist to enter the UK Official Singles Chart after her BLACKPINK bandmate Rosé, who made a historic chart debut at No. 43 with “” in March 2021. Additionally, Jisoo’s debut now marks the highest rank for a K-pop female soloist on this chart and makes her the first to ever place within the Top 40.
