Another star receiver gets dealt to an upcoming Seahawks opponent.
Evidently both the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets saw all they needed out of their wide receiver groups on Monday and had to make Tuesday trades. With the Jets acquiring Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, the Bills followed suit by landing Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns. Unlike Adams, Cooper is on an expiring contract and will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
He’s caught 24 passes for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, but he’s struggled with drops and has generally looked like a player who wanted out of the Cleveland disaster as soon as possible. While the onus is on him to fix his case of the dropsies, he’s going from the worst offense in the NFL with arguably the worst starting quarterback in Deshaun Watson to a great offense and a great quarterback in Josh Allen.
