Both ladies appeared in all four major categories, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.
Lil Nas X and H.E.R were right behind them, nabbing three slots a piece in the big four. Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" has a shot at Record of the Year, While Swift's "Lover" was named among Song of the Year. Alicia Keys, Bebe Rexha, and an almost voice-less Gayle King joined the Recording Academy's President/CEO Deborah Dugan and Chair of the Board of Trustees Harvey Mason Jr. to unveil the exciting list.
Throughout all categories, Lizzo lead the pack with eight nominations, including Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, and Best Urban Contemporary Album. Billie and Lil Nas secured six noms apiece.
