“Imagine if it was your daughter, your sister or your mother and their lives were in danger because of a pregnancy,” Davis said at the hearing Monday. “Would you still say she should continue even if it may kill her?” Currently, 14 states are enforcing bans on abortion at all stages of pregnancy, with limited exceptions. Nearly every ban has been challenged with a lawsuit.
