Metro Denver’s Bike to Work Day returns on Wednesday with more than 140 “bike stations” set up to provide fuel and fluid for participating commuters exercising their pedal power.

“Bike to Work Day really highlights what’s possible when we get tens of thousands of people out of their cars and into a more eco-friendly way of getting around,” Mokshagundam said. “We see some air quality improvements on that day, and it serves to show popular biking is in the region.”. One participant will receive a $3,000 e-bike from FattE-Bikes, a Denver company that makes custom-built electric bikes.
Union Station: This is a “super station” with multiple vendors giving away coffee, cookies, kombucha and water. It will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. Two Union Station establishments, Milkbox Ice Creamery and ND streetBAR, will be handing out discount cards. Odyssey Beerwerks Taproom: Located near the Ralston Creek Trail in Arvada at Ralston Road and 56th Avenue, stop here for the Bike Home Party, where buying a beer will get you a free second one from 3 to 7 p.m. There is bike parking at the building.
