President JoeBiden told Congress he would go on a 'holy war' if it didn't pass 'damn burn pit bill'
Biden frequently speaks about the death of his eldest son, Beau, and his exposure to toxic burn pits while serving overseas. The president became emotional while delivering remarks at the Maj. Joseph R."Beau" Biden III National Guard/Reserve Center in New Castle.Biden signed the PACT Act into law in late summer in the middle of arguably his most successful stretch as president.
"You serve us. We will serve you. Our nation as a whole makes that promise, but it's our mission here in Delaware and across the country to keep that promise to all veterans, their families, their caregivers," the president said. Biden again reiterated how, as president, it was his duty to usher the PACT Act through Congress and fulfill the nation's"sacred obligations" to military members."I made it real clear to the United States Congress, if they didn't pass this damn burn pit bill, I was gonna go on a holy war," the president said."Not a joke."
