New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan slammed President Joe Biden for opting not to file for the state's Democratic presidential primary in 2024.
Scanlan, a Republican, also defended the state as the"purest form of democracy in the presidential nominating process" after the Democratic National Committee changed its nominating schedule to upend the state from its first-in-the-nation status. Biden-Harris 2024 campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a letter to the chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party that the president would not file for the primary after receiving guidance from the DNC.
