While singing “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” during her Massachusetts tour stop on Tuesday, Beyoncé replaced the 35-year-old “Juice” singer’s name.
“The stunning nature of how Lizzo and her management team treated their performers seems to go against everything Lizzo stands for publicly, while privately she weight-shames her dancers and demeans them in ways that are … absolutely demoralizing,” Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez’s attorney, Ron Zambrano, wrote in a statement.
The lawsuit claimed that in February 2023, Lizzo took her employees to Amsterdam’s Red Light District where she allegedly “pressured” and “goaded” them into “touching the nude performers, catching dildos launched from the performers’ vaginas, and eating bananas protruding from the performers’ vaginas.”
The suit also alleged that the touring company “treated the Black members of the dance team differently than other members,” citing “comments … charged with racial and fat-phobic animus.”Instagram/ Arianna Davis
