Bexar County has created a hotline to help protect residents and report those using fireworks recklessly.
If residents see unsafe or illegal uses of fireworks out in the county they are urged to call the hotline’s number at 210-335-0300. Fireworks within city limits are illegal and can result in a class c misdemeanor. Those carry fines anywhere from $100 to $2,000.Have a bucket of water ready to soak leftover debris.Within 600 feet of a hospitals, schools and churches.The number for the county’s hotline is 210-335-0300. The city’s non-emergency line for reporting is 210-207-7273. And if there is an emergency you are advised to call 911.
