Saul's court case is kind of a time machine in that it forces him to revisit the past. In theory it could provide a moral accounting, or a chance for restitution, right?was a victim too. What a scumwad he is in that moment! What a terrible person. But he does reverse course in the episode. Restitution is a big word because there's no way to restore all the lost lives. Not without a time machine, right? There's nothing he can give to Marie that's going to make things better.
