Here's your Monday pick-me-up: Beanie Feldstein and Florence Pugh gush over each other (and Meryl Streep)
in Pugh’s—as well as what it’s like to work with Gerwig. Said Pugh, “Greta Gerwig is the weirdest, bubbliest, most intelligent, colorful burst of life that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.” And as Feldstein added, “She’s a special, special soul. It feels like working with someone that you simultaneously feel so comfortable with but also admire so much. It’s a weird blend of older-sister, mentor-like inspiration all wrapped in one.
But perhaps the most charming part of the actors’ back-and-forth came later, when they discussed the relationships they built with their costars. Feldstein described working withas a “special partnership for me in my life. We lived together while we were filming the movie, and so we were just, like, on top of each other all the time—inseparable. We’d brush our teeth together and read lines and eat pancakes.
