The Baguio City Police Office launched the ‘Bangon Palengke Fund Challenge’ to raise funds through the voluntary contribution of police personnel from their salaries.
The project is geared toward alleviating the daily expenses of about 1,700 vendors of Block 3 and Block 4 of the Baguio City Public Market which was affected by the fire on March 11.
Police personnel together with the city government unit, vendors, volunteers, and other government agencies started the seven days of cleaning and clearing operations in the area which was eventually declared safe for the building of temporary stalls.
