Saratoga baseball player Lucas Dennis, the runner-up in last week’s voting, is the Bay Area News Group athlete of the week for May 9-15 after he received 10,196 votes at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Santa Clara track and field athlete Liam Brennan placed second and Monta Vista volleyball player Lance Tong was third.Dennis pitched a no-hitter for the second consecutive week.
