US Army Reports ‘Barricade Situation' at Base Outside DC
A “barricade situation” drew the FBI and other law enforcement officials to a U.S. Army base outside the nation's capital Sunday, according to the official Twitter account of Fort Belvoir in northern Virginia.
The FBI Washington Field Office said their National Capital Response Squad responded to the incident at 8 a.m. The situation was resolved, and the subject was taken into custody shortly before 3 p.m., the FBI said. They are providing victim assistance services, and Army CID is the lead investigative agency.
