Relatives and supporters of suspended Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Gerald Bantag are calling for a clean and fair investigation on the killing of broadcaster Percy Lapid where the official is the accused mastermind.
According to a report on GMA News’ Unang Balita from GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Thursday, Bantag's relatives and supporters held a gathering in Baguio City to express their support for him.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong also expressed support for Bantag, saying he also experienced what Bantag has been going through when he was still in the Philippine National Police .The PNP and the National Bureau of Investigation on Mondayfor the killing of Lapid and alleged middleman Cristito Villamor Palaña, who was a person deprived of liberty at the New Bilibid Prison .
