IT'S not just persons deprived of liberty at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City who are complaining against suspended Bureau of Corrections Director General Gerald Bantag.According to BuCor Officer-in-Charge Gregorio Catapang, they are ready to assist 4 or 5 BuCor staff who will file harassment charges against Bantag who allegedly assaulted them when they were still in the NBP before heir transfer to the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.
Catapang did not elaborate on the complaints although he said they are still looking into other allegations they received from other PDLs and BuCor staff to make sure they are valid or true.Last week, the BuCor filed administrative and criminal charges against Bantag before the Department of Justice in relation to the alleged torture and stabbing of two NBP inmates last year.Also charged was BuCor deputy security officer Ricardo Zulueta.
