Suspended Bureau of Corrections chief Gerald Bantag has also submitted libel and graft complaints against Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, who allegedly issued malicious statements against him regarding the Percy Lapid case. | GabrielLaluINQ
“Hence, if indeed complainant would have planned the killing of Lapid, he would have done it in 2020 where he enjoys the full backing and support of no less than then president Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Why do it now where complainant does not even enjoy the backing and support of today’s administration?” he asked.
“Assuming for the sake of argument that complainant allegedly told him that the digging within the [NBP] is for the search of Yamashita Gold, why did he not issue a written Order/Memorandum against the complainant for him to stop what he is doing?” Bantag asked again.
This is not the sole complaint filed by Bantag before the Office of the Ombudsman. Earlier, a separate complaint for murder dated January 4 was released to the media, where he accused Remulla of masterminding the death of Lapid.
