BAGUIO CITY — A police officer with a vast experience in operations has been designated as new director of the Baguio City Police Office on Tuesday.
Col. Ruel Tagel, a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2012, took the command responsibility from erstwhile BCPO director Col. Francisco Bulwayan Jr. during ceremonies presided over by BGen. David Peredo Jr., director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera.Tagel was the commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15, which was mainly responsible against internal defense threats and insurgency in this highland region.
This, as he acknowledged that Baguio under the leadership of Mayor Benjamin Magalong, is one of the pilot areas for national and international programs and projects that promote good governance.Magalong, for his part, commended Bulwayan for his effective leadership and managerial skills that greatly helped in making Baguio one of the most peaceful cities in the country.
