BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has deployed all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) to enhance their mobile patrol capabilities during the celebration of this year’s MassKara Festival.
MAYOR Alfredo Abelardo ‘Albee’ Benitez turns over three all-terrain vehicles to Police Col. Noel Aliño , Bacolod City police director, in the presence of Councilors Jude Thaddeus Sayson and Al Victor Espino at the Bacolod City Government Center.
The BCPO will have close coordination with festival organizers to identify areas that require increased police presence and appropriate patrol routes for the ATVs. Aliño said the ATVs will enable police officers to maneuver through crowded festival areas quickly, efficiently, and safely, ensuring a proactive response to incidents and emergencies.
The BCPO will provide a specialized training to designated police officers who will operate the ATVs. This training includes safe handling, driving techniques, and emergency procedures specific to ATVs.
