BACOLOD CITY – Police Col. Noel Aliño was relieved as Bacolod City Police Office chief on Friday, July 19, more than a year after he was assigned to this city. Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, Police Regional Office -6 head, confirmed Aliño’s relief in a text message.
Cruzero will serve until after the State-of-the-Nation Address on Monday, July 22, according to Wanky. Wanky said that Aliño was reassigned to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group .Aliño assumed office on April 18, 2023, succeeding Police Col. Thomas Joseph Martir. “We will wait for the official announcement from the office of the regional director regarding who will replace Aliño,” he added.
