Back proposals for LGUs, PBBM tells councilors READ MORE:

Speaking before the Philippine Councilors League National Convention 2023 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City last night, President Marcos told the councilors they have “an obligation to give life, meaning and substance to the constitutional mandate of local autonomy and decentralization of powers.”

Among these legislations are the e-Governance Act, which will institutionalize digitalization in the bureaucracy and ensure faster government transaction and the amendment to the Build-Operate-Transfer Law to address ambiguities, bottlenecks, and other challenges in implementing the existing law.

“So let us also work together for the passage of the Waste Treatment Technology Act, which will pave the way for modern options in solving the persistent garbage problem of the country,” Mr. Marcos said. President Marcos also urged the LGU officials to continue bringing the government closer to the people by formulating programs and projects that nurture the well-being of their constituents.
