Pinaghahanda na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa mga kaukulang ahensya ng gobyerno ang ayuda para sa mga Pilipinong magsisiuwian matapos na maipit sa kaguluhan sa Israel at Gaza.
Sinabi ni Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Eduardo de Vega na nais masiguro ni Pangulong Marcos na may “livelihood assistance” ang mga distressed Filipinos na magsisiuwian mula Israel.
Magbibigay rin ng tulong sa mga uuwing Pinoy ang Department of Social Welfare and Development mula sa programang Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation at ang “education assistance” para naman sa mga anak ng mga OFWs. “We are providing them funding to be able to rent transportation to bring them from the border to Cairo and to fly them to the Philippines, itong 92,” pahayag ni De Vega.
Isang drug peddler ang dinakip ng mga elemento ng Quezon City Police Disrtict makaraang makumpiskahan ng may P680,000 na halaga ng shabu sa inilatag na buy-bust operation sa lungsod, ayon sa ulat kahapon.
